room size friendly staff difficult access stark lighting
The room was a good size, providing enough space for my luggage. Staff members were helpful and friendly. They provided quick assistance when i asked.
Access by car was difficult for drop off, I would have expected portering. The bar was starkly lit. The restaurant did not seem well laid out.

the hotel is very convenient to the royal mile. i found many sightseeing locations within easy reach. the beds were comfy and i slept soundly each night. breakfast was also a treat (especially the pancakes!).
i felt the extensive work going on greatly affected the feel of the place. i wasn't aware of this beforehand. it impacted the overall experience slightly.
